Fueling my Urges to ink render.

If you haven't noticed yet I love inking. I have nearly forgotten how to uses conte` just because you cant cross hatch with that stuff and plus im pretty light handed so that shit just doesn't show. Luckly in some of my classes I get to ink all I want so I can improve on cloth'd models and nude models.

I got my new Zebra Maru Nibs today $15.00 for a pack of 10. I got the hard kind and the soft kind. So thats $30 worth of nibs and if you add the $15 I spent on the Zebra G that comes to $45 PLUS the $10 ink $55! Then you add then pen holders Tachikawa & Zebra Maru holder $3 each and my random da vinchi holder where I added the lefty finger cushion $7? thats around $65s worth of inking supplies!

Luckly Illustration Club had a Live drawing session to fuel my desire to ink.

penjiku

Its 5:48, I have spent ATLEAST 3 hours looking at pen holder. FYI westerners don't have a wide selection of pen holders. I also learned the word for pen holder is ペン軸(pen shaft). It makes me unhappy every time I'm no a japanese art supply site knowing that I will never be able to obtain these magical Inking Devices. I've been using Zebra G-Pens, Kent Paper, and Pilot Certified ink which I found all of them to be amazing (This isn't me being biast to japanese manga supplies because I hate the Round Nib). Aside from that, the G-Pen is the most amazing pen I have and prolly the only one ill be using for a while.

But i would really like a nicer pen holder.

Also I started eating my vegitables again. GO ME!

Ink Ink Ink new favorite ink!

I've inking alot these past 3-4 years and learned so much and started to become very picky about my inks. I have so many bottles of ink in my shelf that I don't know what to do with them. I switched from a India ink to Fountain pen ink just because its alot smoother even tho Winsor & Newton is some mighty fine ink. The last bottle I owned was Liquitex Ink! personally not my favorite of inks. Thats when I switched to Sheaffer ink, it's good but it wont stick to my nibs.

This my be bad because I hate saying if but I've really started to look trough the Pen&Ink book (the one with vash the stampede on it) And all the other manga books I own. They all use Pilot "Drafting/Drawing" Ink which is a Pilot fountain pen ink. As I went to the Kinokuniya I picked up the wrong bottle, I got a bottle of Pilot Certified Ink (For Documents) which I might say is one of the most amazing inks I have ever used (its rated top 3 in the Pen&Ink Book) and cost $9.95. I really don't care about prices for Ink as long as its worth it.

Once this bottle is done I'm going to but Pilot Drawing ink and see how it feels.
